Oil settles just over $89 a barrel (AP)

Oil prices hit a high 26 month Friday when traders a discouraging unemployed report focus on the potential for stronger demand saw.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange:

Crude oil rose to pay $1.19 to $89.19 per barrel.

Gasoline slid 0.32 cents to $2.3521 payable per gallon.

Heating oil 3.28 cents to 2.4874 won $ payable per gallon.

Natural gas rose to 0.6% to $4.349 per 1,000 cubic feet.

On the ICE Futures Exchange:

Brent crude oil settled to 78 cents to $91,42 a barrel.
